Arianne interviewing a participant at Storm King Art Center

The Anthology of Stories, our flagship project, aims to explore the vast range of women’s voices existing today. We ask participants for their thoughts about power and equality. We ask where they each come from and what each has learned about women's life from their individual perspective. We urge them to meditate on their gender in all responses.

Our goal is to create a supportive venue where stories that might not otherwise be told can be shared freely without judgment or expectation. We want to raise awareness of all of the forms that power and adversity can come in for women.

The collection of stories that has emerged, and continues to emerge, is meant to showcase diversity even through sameness. All contributors share one thing for certain, identifying as women, but the differences abound. This is the crux of the project: to illustrate the purest truth, that at the most elemental level, we are all women, we are all just people, connected by what we share, but overflowing with variety. Let’s pay homage to that, and let’s listen closely. In the end, this is a collection of human stories and a dialogue to connect us all.

Join our collective of story-tellers opening up about their experiences, cultures, relationships, and perspectives. You have the option to have your story published anonymously or with your name attached - whatever your preference. Unique artwork inspired by the individual stories are created to accompany each and posted in the Anthology.

Share Your Story

The questions below are designed to gain an understanding of your perspective and also get your ideas flowing to respond to the final prompt. The questions leading up to the prompt at the end are all optional.

We'd love for you to participate in this collection of stories of strength, weakness, joy, sorrow, mistakes, accomplishments, routine, and significance.

We'd also love for you to help us spread the word by passing this on to any and all of the women in your life.

Your story can be anything. It could be an experience you had doing something new, an interaction with a person or group of people, an everyday task, something related to your work, religion, learning, or pleasure. This is YOUR story.
